The NBA Finals 2024

With the completion of the NBA’s version of the Final 4 now officially over, the two remaining teams representing their respective coasts are the No. 1 Seeded Boston Celtics for the EASTSIDE and the No. 5 Seeded Dallas Mavericks for the WESTSIDE.

Boston stayed true to their character and their No. 1 Seed by staying focussed and driven throughout the Playoffs and demolishing every team that dared to challenge their right to grace the NBA Finals.

The Celtics are coming into these Finals as the favourites by the way they’ve looked so strong in these Playoff runs. This well-balanced Boston squad armed with Jason Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Jrue Holiday and company, have all the right ingredients needed to capture another Championship for the city.

That being said, standing in their way looking to spoil the plans of yet another team are the Dallas Mavericks who are cocked and loaded with two very talented offensive assassins in Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving ready to cause enough havoc while leading their squad through the last obstacle standing in their way of an NBA Finals Championship. The Mavericks have quietly silenced all their nonbelievers game by game throughout the Playoffs to the point that now they can no longer be avoided or disrespected. The Mavericks are the real deal and a serious threat to the Celtics.

That said, Boston will have to be on point on both sides of the court and continue their dominating performance and not let the hyped-up Mavericks get any type of momentum going their way. Both teams know of the opposition’s strength and weaknesses but which side will have the right “game plan” to capitalized on it in their favor.

The stakes are high but there can only be one Champion when it’s all said and done so tune in this Thursday night June 6, 2024 live on ABC for Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

2023 NBA FINALS

With the completion of the NBA’s version of the Final 4 now officially over, the two remaining teams to represent their respective coasts are the No. 1 Seeded Denver Nuggets for the WESTSIDE and No. 8 Seeded Miami Heat for the EASTSIDE.

Denver stayed true to their identity and their No. 1 Seed by running through their competition and crushing them with an iron fist one series at a time, proving that they were destined to grace the NBA Finals for their first appearance.

As good as the Nuggets have been looking throughout the Playoffs, it’s been the Heat stealing the spotlight with their No. 8 Seed placing and still standing after a hard, gruelling battle with the No. 2 Seeded Boston Celtics went down to a game 7 on enemy territory to decide who would be representing the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals.

Miami nearly dropped the ball on this one, going up 3-0 on the Celtics to eventually losing their choke grip on Boston who managed to make it a very interesting series by rallying back to an unforeseen 3-3 series tie, in a blink of an eye.

Boston was back in the game and the favorite to pull it off on home court. However, Miami saw the writing on the wall, drying up rapidly and they had to revert back to what got them there: nonstop toughness from both ends of the floor, teamwork and a very motivated Jimmy Butler leading the way hitting big shots after big shots eventually crushing the Celtics to submission and winning a ticket to the NBA Finals.

Regardless of how this NBA Finals unravels, history will be in the making. The Denver Nuggets have never won an NBA Title let alone been the No. 1 Seed in the Western Conference. Denver has looked overpowering throughout the Playoffs and steadily peaking round after round. With Nikola Jokic and a healthy squad leading the way, the Nuggets should be the Finals favorite to win it all.

That being said, No. 8 Seed has ever won an NBA Championship and the Miami Heat squad is determined to enter the record books as the only team to accomplish the impossible. The Heat have displayed some exceptional play throughout the Playoffs and knocked off some serious competition on their way to the Finals. Them Boys are a legit threat and deserve to be in the NBA Finals. The Nuggets may have the better team but them “heat seekers” have the “DOGG” in them and have proven to be the higher seed killers of these Playoffs series. Another Seed must fall for them to become NBA Champions once again.

Tune in this Thursday night June 1, 2023 and be part of this intriguing NBA Finals matchup.

2021 NBA FINALS

With the NBA ‘s version of the Final 4 now officially over, the two remaining teams to represent their respective coasts are the No. 3 Seeded Milwaukee Bucks for the EASTSIDE and No. 2 Seeded Phoenix Suns for the WESTSIDE.

No one predicted this Finals matchup at the beginning of this year’s shortened NBA Season but due to a vigorous up and down NBA Season and multiple injuries to key players throughout the Playoffs from various favorable teams, the balance of power was tipped in a major way to which has now brought us to this intriguing outcome.

I’m not going to take away anything from what these two teams have accomplished on their journey to the Finals. The Bucks are coming into this Finals series with a question mark with the uncertainty of their leader and star player Giannis Antetokounmpo being unavailable due to a knee injury. Milwaukee has come a long way and battled Miami, Brooklyn and dismantled a tough Atlanta team without Giannis for the two close-out games. I would say this team right here is suitably battle tested and ready for whatever the Phoenix Suns has to offer.

That being said, the Suns haven’t graced the Finals since 1993 but this squad right here led by Chris Paul and young star in the making Devin Booker, and Phoenix’s inexperienced young squad has already surpassed all expectations by having completed a successful season and having made it to the Finals by going through the Defending Champions the Los Angeles Lakers, the Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Clippers to secure their spot at the Finals table. Not an easy task for an inexperienced young squad but they did it.

With the Bucks looking to win their first NBA Title since 1971 and the Suns looking to secure their first NBA Title in history, the stakes are extremely high making this Year’s NBA Finals must see TV. So, tune in this Tuesday night July 6, 2021 and witness this high played chess match style of the NBA Finals live on ABC.

2020 NBA Finals

Two teams that didn’t make the playoffs last year are now set to do battle in this year NBA Finals Wednesday September 30, 2020 inside “The Bubble”.

The No. 1 Seed representing the WESTSIDE is the Western Conference Champion Los Angeles Lakers and the No. 5 Seed representing the EASTSIDE is the Eastern Conference Champion the Miami Heat.

No one predicted this Finals matchup at the beginning of this year NBA season but truth be told it does have the makings of a very intriguing outcome.

Although the odd makers favor the LeBron-led Lakers to come out on top as the NBA Champion, I personally believe the Heat may be the formidable opponent that will actually make things challenging in preventing the Lakers on having an easy run to the Championship.

Both teams have dismantled their previous opponents with relative ease coming into the Finals with an identical record of 12-3. They have both stepped it up on the defensive side and impressed with a very efficient offensive style of play that have kept us fans glued to the screen.

The Miami Heat squad has been counted out the day the Playoffs started but have quickly changed the narrative round after round to now entering the Finals. Unlike “King James” and the Lakers they were expected to reach the Finals with the squad that they have with Anthony Davis being the x-factor.

AD has well proven his worth dominating throughout the series, definitely making it hard on opposing opposition trying to slow him down. The Heat may not have two Hall of Fame running mates to match up with “King James” and AD but the squad that Miami is rocking with have no backing down in them. They are a no-nonsense crew ready to get physical and grind it out by any means necessary.

That said, there is absolutely no favoritism inside “The Bubble”. The Larry O’Bryan Trophy is up for grabs now let’s see who will get crowned NBA Champion of the year 2020.

Tune in this Wednesday night September 30, 2020 live on ABC inside “The Bubble” for game 1 of the NBA Finals.

On The Watch “It’s All About NBA PLAYOFFS 2015”

This NBA season has been nothing short from exciting, record braking, surprising and unbelievable type season with again much more still to come in the Playoffs. REAL TALK! This years’ “King Of The Court” for the season are The Golden State Warriors who won a franchise-record and league-best 67 games. REAL TALK!

From the jump of the season these groups of guys stayed focus and on track to be in this position. The Warriors rank 2nd in Offence rating and 1st on the Defensive side. Nuff said!

Owning that No. 1 Spot on the Westside is not an easy task cause any team from 2-8 competing in the West is capable of upsetting any team at any given time. Think about it for a second?? The Defending Champs of last years NBA finals The Spurs are coming in this year Playoffs at the No. 6th Spot, unreal but true when it comes to the Westside’s level of competition. REAL TALK!

Now when it comes to the Eastside, if there was ever to be a Cinderella team in the NBA this season The Atlanta Hawks would definitely fit the “Bill” The Hawks Started the season from the bottom and rose all the way to the top in a convincing manner. With their record of 60-22 The Hawks have unquestionably tilted the power shift on the Eastside.

This Coast may not be has competitive has the Westside on paper but truth be told Cleveland, Chicago, Washington and our own team from up North the Toronto Raptors, have acquired enough Playoffs experience within the years to bring it to any team ready to battle throw-out the series to come.

Now tune in this Saturday April 18, 2015 for the Playoffs first round of who’s got next!

NBA Season 2014/2015

The San Antonio Spurs have officially re-entered The NBA Finals Sweepstakes once again by capturing their 5 NBA Championship in a very convincing manner for year 2014. The newly crowned Defending Champs will have their work cut out for them in this upcoming 2014/2015 NBA Season. Attempting to duplicate last years near-perfect NBA Season will most likely be the motivation needed to maintain focus throughout this year NBA Season.

The task at hand will be a struggle and a challenge within itself considering just how strong the West keeps on elevating year after year. With all the trades and injuries occurring throughout the summer and the preseason, the balance of POWER still resides on the WESTSIDE!! REAL TALK!

Last season 7 teams in the West won 50 or more games then the East who only managed to have 2 teams with 50 or more wins. NUFF SAID! With the relocation of LeBron James BACK to Cleveland, the second comeback of a healthy Derrick Rose, a motivated Carmelo Anthony and the surprising rise of The Washington Wizards, The Charlotte Hornets and our own Canadian Team in The Toronto Raptors, I anticipate this years EASTSIDE’s win ratio PCT to improve dramatically.

The injury bug has already hit quite a few teams from the jump. The affected teams will feel the burn of it but injuries aside this NBA Season 2014/2015 will definitely be an interesting season to keep ours eyes and attention on and see who will benefit from all the Hollywood Shuffle that went on during the summer brake.

Tune in this Tuesday, October 28, 2014 for the beginning of another electrifying NBA Season!!
