On The Watch “It’s All About Claressa Shields vs Savannah Marshall”

IBF/WBA/WBC/WBO Unified Middleweight Championship Showdown

Tonight’s highly anticipated Sky Sports/Boxxer Main Event between IBF/WBA/WBC Middleweight Champion Claressa Shields (13-0, 2 Kos) and WBO World Middleweight Champion Savannah Marshall (12-1, 10 Kos) was a bout that represented the best of the best on the biggest platform of them all.

The self-proclaimed GWOAT of women’s boxing walked it like she talked it and asserted herself right from the jump and took it straight to Savannah who had absolutely no answer to Claressa’s non-stop action.

Although Savannah was the bigger combatant inside that squared circle, it was Claressa who pressed the action from start to finish making it real unconfutable for Savannah to establish any type of consistent offensive attack. Real Talk!

Claressa’s high-volume punches prevented Savannah from settling in with her strong jab. For every jab Savannah landed Claressa answered with flurries of punches making every round that much harder for Savannah to establish her own “game plan”.

Claressa was focussed and on point round by round physically and mentally ready for everything Savannah was throwing at her. Claressa showed the World tonight what she was all about inside that squared circle. Savannah was in a real fight tonight and had no proper “game plan” to deter Claressa from having her way with her.

After 10 full rounds of non-stop action, the Judges at hand called it 96-94, 97-93, 97 -93 unanimously for Claressa Shields – the New Undisputed IBF/WBA/WBC/WBO and Ring Magazine Middleweight Champion of the World. A beautiful display of boxing at its finest by the self-proclaimed GWOAT of women boxing to date.

Congratulations Claressa on another dominating performance. You truly are women’s boxing at its finest. Good luck to the competitors attempting to dethrone you.

On The Watch “It’s All About Canelo Alvarez vs Danny Jacobs”

Middleweight Unification Challenge

Another highly anticipated bout has officially been announced today between Middleweight “Kingpin” IBO, WBA, WBC, Lineal Champion Canelo Alvarez (51-1-2, 35 Kos) and IBF Middleweight Champion Danny “Miracle Man” Jacobs (35-2, 29 Kos).

A unification bout has been set for May 4, 2019 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, airing live and exclusively on DAZN and Sky Box Office.

I’m impressed with how Canelo is stepping up and taking on another real challenger in Danny, cause your “Boy” Jacobs is no walk in the park for anyone in the Middleweight Division. Real Talk! Canelo has been on a roll and showing steady improvement, with levels upon levels every time he walked into that squared circle. Canelo is one of the best pound-for-pound in the “Game“ today and a win against Jacobs could possibly move him up closer to that No. 1 spot on the pound-for-pound list in my eyes.

That being said, Jacobs is cut from a different cloth. He’s a thoroughbred who’s been down before but fought his way back to the top and re-established himself as a very worthy opponent who’s ready to shock the world come fight night. There is a lot riding on this fight for both combatants but for Jacobs, this is his second chance and possibly his last at unifying the Division, so coming short of accomplishing his goal is not in the plans.

Styles makes fights and with this in mind I can’t wait to see how this one plays out. This is a real 50/50 fight where both warriors are strong, agile, ring savvy with a very high boxing IQ. Aside from the height and reach difference between the two, the real denominator will be which one will have the better “Game Plan” come fight night.

There are levels to this Boxing sh*t, so tune in Saturday night May 4, 2019, exclusively on DAZN and Sky Box Office or better yet be there live at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas to witness two of the best Middleweights battling it out for “supremacy” of the Division.

The time has come, who will triumph?

On The Watch “It’s All About Anthony Joshua vs Joseph Parker”

Heavyweight Title Unification

Tonight, at the sold-out Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, Anthony Joshua (21-0, 20 Kos) unanimously decision Joseph Parker (24-1, 18 Kos) in their 12-round bout to become Super WBA, IBF, IBO and WBO Unified Heavyweight Champion of the world!!!

All three Judges had AJ winning by a large Margin. Hands Down! Truth be told this was not the most exiting AJ performance to date but my Boy showed character and patience tonight inside that squared circle and kept with the game plan at hand. AJ was the predator all night and Parker the pray with no real answer to AJ’s advancement towards him. I was seriously expecting Parker to be more aggressive and quicker of his feet but tonight his performance was very lackluster compared to what he usually brings to the squared circle. Styles make fights but that only works if both fighters are fully engaged and tonight that was not the case.

Tonight, AJ’s knockout streak may have ended but the job at hand was still delivered, he secured the win and collected Parker’s WBO Belt to become Unified Champion.

It’s clear that as the competition improves for AJ so does the challenge. Every time out is an opportunity to show improvement and tonight going the full 12-rounds unmarked by his opponent for the first time is a good way to gage where your are at this point in your career. Real Talk!

Congratulations on your win tonight AJ, you are one step closer to becoming Undisputed. Keep working and perfecting your craft but keep in mind there can only be one true “King” in the Heavyweight Division so be cautious of Deontay Wilder the man holding the last peace to the puzzle, the WBC Belt, cause he’s a BADDDD Man inside that squared circle.

On The Watch “It’s All About Anthony Joshua vs Joseph Parker”

CHAMPION VS CHAMPION

Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 Kos) will be returning to the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday March 31, 2018 on Sky Sport Box Office for a Unification fight against Champion Joseph Parker (24-0, 18 Kos).

This will be the first time in History that two reigning Heavyweight World Champions have met in Britain. The stakes couldn’t be any higher. Joshua will be defending his IBF, WBA Super and IBO Belts to Joseph’s WBO Belt along with both unbeaten records on the line.

Both fighters have their own views on how things are going to go down come fight night. Both are young, hungry, and strong and determined to become Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion.

Surprisingly the early trash-talking has been coming from Parker, who feels he’s got the right attributes to put a stop to Joshua’s reign at the top of the food chain. He’s even going as far as predicting a knockout! Parker’s a tough Dude who’s never been stopped or shaken in that squared circle to date. It’s clear to me where the confidence is coming from.

Joshua’s heard the entire trash-talking coming from the opposite camp and he hasn’t been impressed. Personally, I think the critical attacks from them have actually fueled his anger and in return we are going to see a highly motivated AJ pumped up to put a hurting on his opponent in an emphatic fashion.

For some reason or another AJ’s opponents are quick to overlook or underestimate what he brings to that squared circle. AJ is clearly still learning fight by fight but to assume that he’s a walk in the park is blasphemy. REAL TALK!

The winner from this Unification Bout will hold four of the five Major Titles, leaving Deontay Wilder’s WBC Belt as the last one to acquire.

This is shaping out to be quite an intriguing month for the Heavyweight Division. Who will fall and who will rise one step closer to Undisputed?

Who you got?
