On The Watch “It’s All About Alycia Baumgardner vs Bo Mi Re Shin”

Unified Super Featherweight Challenge

Last night’s MVP/ESPN Main Event between Unified IBF/WBA/WBO/Ring Magazine Super Featherweight Champion Alycia Baumgardner (18-1, 7 Kos) and tough and durable challenger Bo Mi Re Shin (19-4-3, 10 Kos) put up a hell of a shoot-out that had the attention of the fans in attendance at Madison Square Garden Theater, in New York City.

Alycia walked into this bout with the upmost confidence as expected but was met with a very willing combatant that brought the “HEAT” straight from round one. Bo Mi Re walked it like she talked it and went toe-to-toe with the champ throwing heavy shots but Alycia’s skill set was on full display as she proceeded to box and move and hammer out the more telling punches as the rounds progressed.

Alycia was sharper and more accurate than Bo Mi Re but that did not deter the challenger from keeping a heavy pace round by round. Bo Mi Re showed her durability but looked a little wild at times with her punches but didn’t stop from pressing the action.

Alycia had to regroup at times, but her power punches were definitely playing a big part in this bout. Bo Mi Re showed she’s definitely a tough out for any one of them girls in the division but Alycia’s technical skills were undeniably levels above Bo Mi Re who went of script at times throwing whatever she could to try and slow down the champ as the nonstop pressure zapped some energy from the Champ and prevented her from finishing the rounds strongly.

That being said, after 10 three-minute rounds of action the Judges at hand scored it 98-92, 99-91 and 99-91 unanimously for Alycia Baumgardner.

This was a tougher bout than expected for Alycia, but nevertheless, the Champ retained her Unified Super Featherweight IBF/WBA/WBO/Ring Magazine Titles.

Well done, Alycia.

On The Watch “It’s All About Denys Berinchyk vs Keyshawn Davis”

WBO Lightweight Showdown

The Top Rank/ESPN + Main Event between WBO Lightweight Champion Denys Berinchyk (19-1, 9 Kos) and challenger Keyshawn “The Businessman” Davis (13-0, 9 Kos), who had himself a very business-like performance when he entered that squared circle, occurred last night at Madison Square Garden Theater in New York.

In his first world title opportunity, Keyshawn “The Businessman” proceeded to handle his opponent in a very professional manner inside that squared circle by completely dominating the Champion from start to finish.

Denys, the more experienced combatant of the two, had no answer or the right “game plan” to disrupt Keyshawn from having his way with him. It was a complete mismatch from the jump. Denys was outgunned, out skilled, outmuscled and simply too small to deal with the aggression and power punches coming his way.

The inevitable was nearby. With no significant offense coming his way Keyshawn managed to drop Denys with hard left to the liver for a standing 8 count in the third-round signalling what was to come. By the fourth round, Keyshawn went in for the kill and landed another vicious left body shot that sent Denys down for the count prompting the referee to wave the bout.

It was a very dominant performance by Keyshawn where he took this opportunity with open arms and delivered like a true “Businessman” on the biggest night of his career to date. With this convincing win now on his record Keyshawn became the New WBO Lightweight Champion of the World.

The 135-Pound Division has now been put on notice. The “Businessman” is in the building!

Congratulations Champ.
