On The Watch “It’s All About Emanuel Navarrete vs O’Shaquie Foster”

IBF/WBC/WBO Lightweight Unification Showdown

Last night’s Top Rank/DAZN Main Event between IBF/WBO Unified Lightweight Champion Emanuel “Vaquero” Navarrete (40-3-1, 33 Kos) and WBC Lightweight Champion O’Shaquie “Ice Water” Foster (26-3, 12 Kos), surpassed my expectations when these two warriors touched gloves at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio. Real Talk!

“Ice Water” Foster stayed true to his moniker when he delivered an ice cold performance and executed a flawless “game plan” that saw him dominate Navarrete which is not an easy task to do considering his unorthodox style that is very hard to crack. Nevertheless, Foster boxed and moved and even stood his ground long enough at times in such a manner that could not be denied.

Foster understood the task at hand and delivered an exceptional performance that definitely showed his growth and skill set inside that squared circle. Navarrete was getting outworked round by round and could not establish himself in his usual effective and aggressive fashion. Although Navarrete had some moments, the night belonged to Foster who never broke character or his “Ice Water” level of concentration throughout the bout.

To seal the outcome, Foster even managed to drop Navarrete twice for standing 8 counts in the 12th round. Unbelievable!

After 12 rounds of one-sided action the Judges at hand scored it 118-108, 118-108 and 115-111 unanimously for O’Shaquie Foster.

With this impressive and dominant win, O’Shaquie is now the new Unified IBF/WBC/WBO Lightweight Champion of the Word placing him as the No. 1 fighter in the Lightweight Division. A position well deserved and rightfully earned. The road to Undisputed should be next!

On The Watch “It’s All About Daniel Dubois vs Fabio Wardley II”

WBO Heavyweight Showdown

Tonight’s Queensberry Promotions/DAZN highly anticipated Main Event rematch Heavyweight Showdown between WBO Heavyweight Champion Daniel Dubois (24-3, 23 Kos) and former WBO Heavyweight Champion Fabio Wardley (20-2-1 19 Kos) did not disappoint with the dominance that Dubois displayed at the O2 Arena in London.

From the first bell, these two warriors picked up the action like it was round 13 and went straight at it with the heavy bombs coming from both sides but it was Dubois who connected first this time around within the first 18 seconds of the round and brutally dropped Wardley with an overhand right forcing a standing 8 count.

Wardley ate that one but bounced back up and survived the opening round but looked shaky doing so. With Dubois entering the second round full of confidence, he proceeded to continue working his combinations surprisingly breaking Wardley down who was looking defenseless, absorbing a barrage of unanswered punches to the head cornered on the ropes, which then prompted Wardley’s corner to throw in the towel to save their fighter from further damages.

Truth be told, I anticipated this bout to being a heavier shoutout than the first time out but the destructive performance that Dubois brought this time around was very impressive. Dubois walked it like he talked it and closed the show with a “BANG”.

With this very convincing win under his belt, Dubois retained his WBO Heavyweight Championship Title and is now looking for the next mark- preferably a unification bout with IBF Champion Filip Hrgovic or WBC Champion Agit Kabayel.

On The Watch “It’s All About Floyd Schofield III vs Lucas Bahdi”

WBA Lightweight Showdown

A new World Champion was crowned at last night’s Golden Boy/MVP/DAZN Main Event when Floyd Schofield III (20-0, 13 Kos) challenged our own undefeated Canadian combatant Lucas Bahdi (20-1, 15 Kos), for the Vacant WBA Lightweight Title at Wintrust Arena in Chicago.

Both combatants walked into this bout full of confidence thinking this was going to be easy work but soon found out from the jump that each warriors possessed attributes that needed to be respected and not overlooked.

Although Floyd scored an early knock down in round three, Floyd quickly found out in the proceeding rounds that Lucas was a tougher opponent then expected with some serious durability and power behind every punch he managed to land cleanly.

That being said, Floyd maintained his composure as the rounds progressed and boxed and moved beautifully, collecting round after round making it harder on Lucas to bully him and prevent him from landing anything of significance.

Lucas had some moments and made his presence felt as best he could but not being able to keep up with Floyd’s movements and punch output made things look a lot harder for Lucas inside squared circle.

The accuracy of Floyd’s punches could not be missed but Lucas’ power punches were quite telling whenever he did land a good one. That said, Lucas managed to return the favor when he himself scored a knockdown in the eleventh round but simply could not put his punches together long enough to deter Floyd’s movements.  

After 12 full rounds of action, the Judges at hand scored it 119-108, 116-110 and 115-111 unanimously for Floyd Schofield III.This was way more competitive than the score cards suggest but nevertheless the right combatant won the war. With this win, Floyd picked up the Vacant WBA Lightweight Title crowning him the second youngest 24-year-old World Champion in the game today.

On The Watch “It’s All About Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua”

The Battle of Britain

It has officially been announced! The highly anticipated British Heavyweight Showdown between former Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury (36-2-1, 25 Kos) and former Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua (30-4, 27 Kos) who are set to collide December 11, 2026, at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales and streamed worldwide on Netflix, courtesy of your Excellency Turki Alashikh.

Although these two combatants are no longer in their prime, at today’s press conference both warriors surprisingly showed a lot of respect for one another but definitely promised a vicious ending to this historical bout on fight night.

Fury is already talking that sh*t by calling this a gunfight at the OK Corral and promising AJ that he will be bringing that “HEAT” ready to throw down and blast AJ out of there and put him to sleep, keeping in mind his suspect chin as of late.

That said, AJ welcomes that action and is looking forward to going toe-to-toe with the 6-foot-9 “Gypsy King” and battle through the anticipated adversity to complete the task at hand.

Many boxing pundits are already crowning “The Gypsy King” as the clear winner but if AJ shows up fight night laser focussed with the right “game plan” and ready for war, the “Landlord” could be collecting on that overdue rent when it’s all said and done.

The intrigue is on full display with both combatants clearly looking past their prime days inside that squared circle. That said the lingering question in the air is who the last Brit will be left standing, while both warriors are walking into this bout with the utmost confidence to get the job done.

On The Watch “It’s All About Jai Opetaia vs Noel Mikaelian”

Cruiserweight Showdown

Last night’s Zuffa Boxing/Paramount +/DAZN Co-Main Event between Ring Magazine/Zuffa Boxing Cruiserweight Champion Jai Opetaia (31-0, 24 Kos) and WBC Cruiserweight Champion Noel Mikaelian (28-4, 12 Kos) was quite interesting at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Noel, known for his durability and good boxing mind, came into this bout with the utmost confidence and stood his ground as best he could but quickly found out that there are levels to this boxing sh*t and when entering that squared circle opposite of Jai Opetaia, you are bound to find out the hard way.

Jai is rated as the best in the Cruiserweight Division. His skill set does the talking inside that squared circle. That being said, Jai boxed and broke down Noel round by round. Noel did his best to survive and fought back gracefully but eventually succumbed at the hands of the superior combatant. Jai was simply too good and too strong to deterred inside that squared circle.

The pace the combatants were fighting at was simply too much for Noel to keep up with. Noel’s defence was suffering for it and cost him dearly in the ninth round as he got pressed with a barrage of well-placed punches that dropped him into the ropes forcing a standing 8 count where the referee felt Noel hadn’t regained enough of his senses to continue and decided to waive the bout at the 1:30 mark of the round.

With this win, Jai administered Noel his first TKO of his career, retained his Ring Magazine/Zuffa Boxing Cruiserweight Championship Titles but was robbed of receiving Noel’s WBC Cruiserweight Title due to the politics of the sanctioning body. Unbelievable!

Only time will tell who will be the last man standing above the Cruiserweight Division when Jai Opetaia and David Benavidez finally collide, but until then, congratulations Jai on another impressive win.

On The Watch “It’s All About Katie Taylor vs Flora Pili”

Junior Welterweight Showdown

Katie Taylor (26-1, 6 Kos) graced the inside of the squared circle for the last time last night in front of her admiring fans where she headlined the first boxing event at Dublin’s historical Croke Park since Muhammad Ali fought Al “Blue” Lewis on July 19, 1972.

Katie put her Unified Junior Welterweight IBF/WBA/WBO/Ring magazine Championship Titles on the line one last time against a formidable and younger Lioness Flora Pili (12-1, 2 Kos) to close out her career with a proper defense of her well-earned jewels.

Katie refused to take an easy fight on her way out. By doing so, she gifted the opportunity to a combatant who respected her dearly but wanted to become Champion by any means necessary.

With this great chance now given to her, Flora pressed the action as best she could from the first bell and attempted to bring the “HEAT” to Katie from every corner possible. Flora kept it interesting for the first few rounds but quickly found out that there are levels to this boxing sh*t and going rounds with one of the best in the game is a challenge in itself.

That being said, Katie did not disappoint her adoring fans. Katie, at 40 years old, still looked as sharp as ever, light on her feet with a fast and busy jab, troubling Flora who had no answer to deter the Champ from having her way with her inside that squared circle.

Nevertheless, Flora did hold her own but was simply outmatched by a seasoned veteran in the game. After 10 rounds of action, the Judges at hand scored it 100-90, 100-90 and 98-91, unanimously for Katie Taylor.

With this win on this historical night of boxing, Katie Taylor retained her Unified Junior Welterweight IBF/WBA/WBO/Ring Magazine Championship Titles and picked up the vacant WBC Junior Welterweight Title, once again re-crowning her as the Undisputed Junior Welterweight Champion of the World.

Gracefully bowing out as a Three-Time Undisputed Champion of the World in front of 83,000 adoring fans in the building at Dublin’s historical Croke Park, is the perfect moment to say goodbye.

Well done, Champ! You’ve had a great career – now enjoy your retirement.

On The Watch “It’s All About Andy Ruiz Jr. vs Damian Knyba”

Heavyweight Showdown

Last night’s Matchroom/TNT/DAZN Main Event between former Unified Heavyweight Champion of the World, Andy “Destroyer” Ruiz Jr. (35-3-1, 22 Kos) and Damian “Polish Hussar” Knyba (18-1, 11 Kos) turned out to be an interesting bout with an unexpected outcome when all was said and done at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

With Andy coming in this bout looking in his best physical shape, many anticipated the old Andy to show up and handle “The Polish Hussar” with ease but with Andy not having graced the inside of that squared circle after a two-year layoff, what we witnessed was a shadow of himself who had to deal with a 6ft 7 jabbing machine who definitely had the right “game plan”.

Damian’s reach, movement and active jab did a number on Andy’s face and had him confused and discouraged as the rounds progressed. I was impressed by Damian’s strategy who used every bit of his physical attributes to deter Andy from landing anything significant enough to trouble him in this bout.

 This may not have been the most exciting bout to watch but Damian did manage to raise the atmosphere and the crowd in the building when he viscously dropped Andy with a 10-piece combination in the seventh round. With the referee giving Andy a standing 8 count and added time, Andy managed to survive the round.

Andy, still shook off the seventh round, attempted to up his offensive approach with some urgency in the later rounds but Damian played his position to a “T” and kept that sniper like jab in his face while still landing the cleaner punches.

After 12 rounds of one-sided action, the Judges at hand scored it 117-110, 114-113 and 114-113, unanimously for Damian Knyba.

Them two Judges who scored this bout 114-113 are straight out of pocket for this one. Real Talk! Damian may have been the underdog on the night but he undeniably earned this win hands down.

An interesting “Showdown” is set to go down on Saturday October 24, 2026, at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio when Three-Division World Champion and current IBF/WBO Lightweight Champion Emanuel “Vaquero” Navarrete (40-2-1, 33 Kos) will attempt to unify the Division with WBC Lightweight Champion O’Shaquie “Ice Water” Foster (25-3, 12 Kos).

Both Champions have been looking exceptionally great per their last outing, producing some very good work inside that squared circle. That being said, this upcoming challenge will definitely raise the bar for both Warriors to bring out the best version of themselves considering what is at stake on the night.

This is what these combatants work hard for. Holding all the jewels and securing the No. 1 Spot in the Division. This is motivation within itself. I’m expecting a well-conditioned and disciplined assassin in Navarrete, to show up on fight night and give the cool, collected and well-schooled boxer, in Foster, a serious test of will power.

We all know too well what Navarrete brings inside that squared circle. His unorthodox style and punch output have proven to be a real problem for the opposition but I’m curious to see what “game plan” the “Ice Water” Foster, will drum up to prevent Navarrete from snatching that WBC Championship Belt from his grasp.

Skill for skill, these two combatants will make this bout quite intriguing, so tune in Saturday night October 24, 2026, live on DAZN at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio and see who will reign supreme.

On The Watch “It’s All About Moses Itauma vs Filip Hrgovic”

Vacant IBF Heavyweight Championship

Yesterday’s Queensberry Promotions/DAZN Main Event between undefeated Heavyweight Moses Itauma (14-1, 12 Kos) and Filip Hrgovic (21-1, 16 Kos) turned out to be a show stopper when these two big warriors collided at the O2 Arena in London, England.

From the first bell, the young hungry lion Itauma, came out the gate in his usual aggressive and destructive manner landing some heavy punches while controlling the first few rounds with ease. Itauma’s power was quite visible as he managed to drop Hrgovic early in the second round but Hrgovic did not fold.

It was very interesting to see Itauma having to deal with some resistance. Although Itauma was putting a beating on Hrgovic, the older lion refused to crumble at Itauma’s hands. Hrgovic stood his ground and relied on his sturdy chin, durability and experience to weather the storm coming at him by way of Itauma’s aggressive approach. By doing so, visible fatigue started to creep up on Itauma whose punch output dwindled after the first 4 rounds.

With Itauma starting to lose form and discipline inside that squared circle, Hrgovic continued to stand his ground and survive the rounds while patiently waiting for his opportunity. By the eighth, Itauma had completely abandoned his boxing and was only looking to slug it out hoping to get the knockout to end this bout, but Hrgovic responded well and dished out just as much as he was taking in.

Hrgovic sensed the inevitable going into the ninth round and proceeded to go for the kill and pressed the exhausted bully with some good shots that had Itauma staggering with only the ropes holding him up for dear life with absolutely nothing left in the tank to protect himself. This prompted Itauma’s corner to throw in the towel to protect their fighter and stop the fight. 

Many had counted “EL Animal” the older lion, to be another victim at Itauma’s hands but greatly underestimated the experience that Hrgovic possesses. Hrgovic silenced all the naysayers on enemy lines and prevailed to capture the vacant IBF Championship Title, crowning him the New IBF Heavyweight Champion of the World and the first to do so from Croatia.

Congratulations Filip Hrgovic, you’ve earned this one the right way.

On The Watch “It’s All about Mikaela Mayer vs Chantelle Cameron”

WBA/WBC/WBO Super Welterweight Unification Showdown

Yesterday’s MVP Promotions/Sky Sports/ESPN + Main Event between WBA/WBC Super Welterweight Champion Mikaela Mayer (22-3, 5 Kos) and WBO Super Welterweight Champion Chantelle Cameron (23-1, 8 Kos) did not disappoint as the two warriors brought the “HEAT” to the bp Pulse LIVE in Birmingham, England.

Both ladies went to work right from the jump, exchanging leather for leather and landing heavy shots on one another from all angles, round by round. The pace these two combatants were moving at definitely benefited the two minutes per rounds.

The animosity was on full display by the way they battled inside that squared circle with neither combatant refusing to bow down to the other. It was nonstop action coming from both sides where both combatants had their moments and definitely kept the fans in attendance entertained but was hard to call as the rounds progressed.

After 10 full rounds of electrifying action, the Judges at hand scored it 97-93, 97-93, and 96-94 for Chantelle Cameron.

It was a very compelling bout where I could see either combatant could have walked away the winner but on this night, it just so happened to be Chantelle Cameron the new Unified WBA/WBC/WBO Super Welterweight Champion of the World.

A rematch if definitely warranted but until then, congratulations Chantelle on another great victory and accomplishment.
