On The Watch “It’s All About Sebastian Fundora vs Keith Thurman”

WBC Junior Middleweight Showdown
Last night’s PBC/Prime Video Main Event between WBC Junior Middleweight Champion Sebastian Fundora (24-1-1, 16 Kos) and former Unified Welterweight Champion Keith “One Time” Thurman (31-2, 23 Kos), was another very impressive performance by “The Towering Inferno” at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Keith talked a good game throughout the build-up to this bout but truth be told everybody in the building knew this was going to be a tall task from the jump as both men stood to confront one another inside that squared circle.
With Sebastian standing at a tall 6’5 ½ and Keith pushing 5’8 ½ the writing was already on the wall. As great and experienced Keith was as an opponent, he was severely outsized, outgunned and outmatched from every angle.
This was a one-sided beatdown where Keith was unable to conjure any type of a proper “game plan” to deter Sebastian from having his way with him. Sebastian boxed beautifully using his height and accurate jab effortlessly and cutting off the ring from every angle.
Sebastian’s jab alone was doing a number on Keith’s face and with the added punch output the inevitable was only a matter of time. As Sebastian continued to raise the bar and the action inside that squared circle continued, the referee felt the need to save Keith from any further damage and stopped the fight at the 1:17 mark of the sixth round.
For the first time in his career Keith “One Time” was stopped inside the squared circle by a man in Sebastian, who made it look easyyyyyyy. Real talk!
With this convincing win now under his belt, Sebastian is still standing tall as the WBC Junior Middleweight Champion of the World.
Well done, Champ!

On The Watch “It’s All About Moses Itauma vs Jermaine Franklin”

Heavyweight Showdown
Last night’s Queensberry Promotions/DAZN Main Event between undefeated Heavyweight Moses Itauma (14-0, 12 Kos) and Jermaine Franklin Jr. (24-3, 15 Kos), was another showcase type of an event for the young up-and-coming Heavyweight when he brought the house to their feet at Co-op Arena in Manchester, England. Real Talk!
Moses continued his destructive path without missing a beat when he entered that squared circle and completely annihilated tough and durable Jermaine Franklin by stopping him in the fifth round.
Jermaine had never been stopped before but then again, he hadn’t faced a young hungry warrior of the likes of Itauma. Moses systematically broke down the veteran combatant with ease by landing heavy destructive head shots that were visibly doing damage every time they landed. You could tell from the opening rounds that this was going to be quick night of action.

For a young combatant, Moses’ patience and discipline is key when he’s inside that squared circle. That being said, Jermaine was specifically brought in to test the young warrior but found out after being dropped in the third round by a heavy left hand that this youngin was the truth and a serious problem to solve.
Having felt the youngin’s power early in the bout, the inevitable was on the horizon. Moses continued to apply his controlled aggression with accurate hard punches and eventually connected with a well-placed left uppercut that laid Jermaine out for the count which then prompted the referee to stop the bout in the fifth round.
This was an impressive showing by Moses. Jermaine had gone the distance with both Dillian Whyte and Anthony Joshua in a respectable showing but was unable to withstand the heavy onslaught that Moses Itauma brought on the night.
Well done, Moses. Statement made.

On The Watch “It’s All About Carlos Adames vs Austin Williams”

WBC Middleweight Showdown
Last night’s DAZN/Matchroom Main Event between WBC Middleweight Champion Carlos Adames (25-1-1, 18 Kos) and mandatory challenger Austin “Ammo” Williams (20-2, 13 Kos) was an interesting bout when first announced but quickly turned into a one-sided affair when they finally touched gloves at Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida.
Due to Adames’ one year layoff from ring action, many boxing pundits anticipated that the younger, fresher and more active fighter in Williams would be too much for Adames but what transpired was far more convincing inside that squared circle. Real Talk!
The trash talk was heavy from both sides during the build-up to this fight but the one who backed every word was Adames. Both combatants came out the gate aggressively trying to dominate one another but the one who made it clear early was Adames when he dropped Williams in the second round with a well-placed right hand to the dome giving him a standing 8 count which set the stage for the remainder of the bout.

School was in session from that point on. Adames boxed beautifully round by round nullifying every aspect of Williams’ game. There are levels to this boxing sh*t and last night Adames showed Williams exactly where he was at in his career. Although Williams had some flashy moments at times, Adames always made sure to let him know who was really controlling the fight.
Adames bullied and lumped up Williams from head to body and from start to finish. After 12 full rounds of a one-sided beatdown, the Judges at hand scored it 118-108, 117-109, 117-109 unanimously for Carlos Adames.
With this convincing and dominating win, Adames retained his WBC Middleweight Title and successfully defended it for the third time.
Well done, Champ. On to the next.
