On The Watch “It’s All About Chris Eubank Jr. vs Conor Benn 2”

Middleweight Showdown

Last night’s Matchroom/Boxxer/DAZN Main Event rematch between Chris Eubank Jr. (35-4, 25 Kos) and Conor Benn (24-1, 14 Kos) at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England, was more of a statement bout than a revenge bout by the way things unfolded. Real Talk!

I anticipated these two warriors to pick up the heat where they left off from their last encounter but what transpired was quite surprising. This time around Benn looked focussed and more calculative with his approach and a lot stronger at the weight. His controlled aggression and volume punches kept Eubank Jr. unsettled and unable to adjust on the fly like he did in the previous fight.

From the first bell Eubank Jr. looked uncharacteristically shaky and unsure of his own “game plan” by the way he attempted to box inside that squared circle. It was clear that the weight cut was once again a big issue. His punches looked weak and his usual punch output was non-existent this time around.

It was painful to watch at times as the bigger man was clearly getting bullied and manhandled by the smaller but stronger man round by round. Benn executed his “game plan” to a “T” and beat the usual tough and durable Eubank Jr. to the punch every time.

By the championship rounds it was clear that Eubank Jr.’s energy was completely depleted and his will was the only thing keeping him going and standing on his feet. Seeing what state Eubank Jr. was in, Benn proceeded to keep the pressure on for the remaining rounds and managed to score two knockdowns in the 12th round that sealed the deal in a very convincing fashion.

After 12 one-sided rounds of a systematic beatdown, the Judges scored it 119-107, 118-108 and 116-110, unanimously for Conor Benn. Well done!

Although these two combatants are now tied 1-1 between them, it is clear that Eubank Jr. is no longer able to make the middleweight Division and should forget about a trilogy and close the door on this rivalry.

As for Benn, he’s made it clear that the 147-Pound Division is where he’s heading back to and is looking to bring the “HEAT” to all the Champions in that Division.

On The Watch “It’s All About Vergil Ortiz Jr. vs Erickson Lubin”

WBC Interim Junior Middleweight Challenge

Last night’s Golden Boy/DAZN Main Event between WBC Interim Junior Middleweight Champion Vergil Ortiz Jr. (24-0, 22 Kos) and challenger Erickson “The Hammer” Lubin (27-3, 19 Kos) was nothing more than a statement fight where the Interim Champion showed the world and the fans at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, why he’s rated the No. 1 fighter in the 154-Pound Division.

What was supposed to be a tough and competitive bout on paper turned out to be a quick and one-sided beatdown at the hands of Ortiz Jr. who completely outclassed Lubin from the first bell. It was clear from the jump that Lubin had left his “Hammer” inside the tool box because he showed up with no proper “game plan” to deter Ortiz Jr. from having his way with him inside that squared circle.

Lubin looked gun shy and not well-equipped to stand toe-to-toe with the hungrier Ortiz Jr. who was landing nothing but powerful punches from head to body with absolutely no resistance coming his way.

By the second round, Ortiz Jr. had already gathered enough intel on Lubin and decided to go for the kill when he pinned Lubin on the ropes and unloaded on him and caught him with a nasty right hand that left him out cold on his feet which prompted the referee to step in and stop the fight before any further serious damage could be handed down.  

This was an impressive stoppage by Ortiz Jr. considering Lubin was a highly-ranked and proven contender who talked a good game but fell severely short of backing it up on the night.

With this convincing win under his belt, the stage is now clear for the two Interim Champions, WBA Interim Champion Jaron Ennis (35-0, 31 kos) and WBC Interim Champion Vergil Ortiz Jr. (24-0, 22 Kos) to finally square up and settle their differences inside that squared circle to determine the No. 1 combatant in the 154-Pound Division.

On The Watch “It’s All about Mary Spencer vs Mikaela Mayer”

WBA Super Welterweight Showdown

Last night’s Top Rank Main Event between our own Canadian WBA Super Welterweight Champion Mary Spencer (10-3, 6 Kos) and challenger WBO Welterweight Champion Mikaela Mayer (22-2, 5 Kos) who moved up in weight for this bout, turned out to be a hell of a one-sided performance that silenced the Montreal Casino crowd in attendance. Real Talk!

Mikaela, who was clearly the smaller combatant, brought in that heat with that nonstop aggression that had Mary bewildered and bothered all night. Mikaela held no punches on the night. She let her hands go from head to body making sure her presence inside that squared circle was felt in every round.

As the away fighter, Mikaela was determined not to let this opportunity get taken away from her. Mikaela bullied the bigger Champion in her own house and showed Mary the many levels above that she has on her inside that squared circle. It was a dominant and impressive one-sided beatdown by Mikaela that could not be denied.

After 10 rounds of one-sided action, the Judges at hand scored it 100-90, 98-92 and 98-92 unanimously for Mikaela Mayer.

With this convincing win, Mikaela snatched away the WBA Super Welterweight Championship Title from Mary and picked up the vacant WBA Super and the WBC Super Welterweight Titles now crowning her the New Unified Super Welterweight Champion of the Division and still WBO Welterweight Champion.

Well done, Mikaela, you are now in the position of power with options in two different Divisions. This is your time, and you’ve earned it the hard way.

On The Watch “It’s All About Joseph Parker vs Fabio Wardley”

Heavyweight Showdown

Last night’s Queensberry Promotions/DAZN Main Event between WBO Interim Heavyweight Champion Joseph Parker (36-4, 24 Kos) and undefeated WBA Interim Heavyweight Champion Fabio Wardley (20-0, 19 Kos), surpassed all my expectations when these two Heavyweights collided at the O2 Arena in London.

Both combatants went into this bout with the utmost confidence and displayed it right from the jump as both warriors wasted no time at establishing their respective “game plan”. Parker was visibly the bigger man but Wardley who was not intimated at all stood his ground round by round.

We had a serious shootout on the night with heavy shots coming from both sides. Both combatants had their moments throughout the night but what surprised me the most was how both warriors withstood each other’s heavy shots. Every round had a dramatic impact right before the bell.

Parker’s experience showed dividends as the rounds progressed. Parker was very efficient and calculative with his punch selection and power shots as the bigger man but Wardley’s chin, durability and will to win alongside his own power, could not go unnoticed.  

Wardley is as tough as they come and tonight, he laid it all on the line inside that squared circle. The clock was ticking and desperation was creeping into the back of Wardley’s mind. Entering the 11th round, Wardley brought forth a devastating attack that clipped Parker and sent him in retreat mode to the ropes absorbing and at times avoiding an abundance of unanswered heavy shots coming his way, prompting the referee to jump in and halt the fight before any further damage could be done.

Some will argue that the stoppage may have been premature considering Parker was up on the card but the unanswered onslaught dished out at the time was quite convincing.

With this imposing win under his belt, Wardley has now positioned himself as the No. 1 opponent to challenge the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion Oleksandr Usyk. In doing so, he’s definitely put the heavyweight Division on notice.

On The Watch “It’s All About The NBA Season 2025/2026”

The NBA Season 2025/2026

The Oklahoma City Thunder stayed true to themselves and proved the critics right and this time finished their quest in an impressive fashion by claiming last year’s 2025 NBA Championship with a tight squad and the leadership of NBA MVP and Finals MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leading the charge. Shai ran through the season with ease and owned the NBA Playoffs and proved to be one of the elites in the league by claiming his first Larry O’Brien trophy. The road back to the promised land won’t be an easy one but with the experience now gained and their team still intact, them Boys will be looking to go back-to-back for a second Championship by any means necessary.

That being said, the balance of power remains in the Western Conference where things are like a minefield, anyone of the top 8 contending teams can take you out and give it a good run.

The Houston Rockets had a good run last year and made a lot of noise throughout the season and the Playoffs. They have a solid young core ready to be further tested. With the addition of sniper Kevin Durant now leading this squad into battle, their chances of success have improved dramatically.

The Denver Nuggets may have yielded to the eventual Champions Oklahoma City Thunder last year but truth be told this squad has a three-time MVP Nikola Jokic and a Larry O’Brien trophy of their own. They are loaded with enough talent and experience to rival any team on any given night. A championship run is the only thing they are looking forward to.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have showed up and improved steadily climbing and breaking down buildings along the way screaming at every team in the league that they have arrived. They fell short last year at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder but amassed an abundance of experience along the way. With their bubbling star Anthony Edwards leading the charge with a tight squad, they can only go up from this point on.

The Los Angeles Lakers have revamped their squad over the summer to stay competitive enough to compete in the top heavy Western Conference. With LeBron James still playing at a high level alongside a healthy Luka Doncic prime to take over the reins, the Lakers might have a chance to make some serious noise this year.

The Golden State Warriors are trying to slow down father time but still remain in the running with a solid core of Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and a full season with Jimmy Butler, the Warriors will hopefully be able to contend. The leadership is there – it’s for the squad to step up and follow their lead.

As for the remainder of the Western Conference Teams, the L.A. Clippers, the Phoenix Suns, the Dallas Mavericks, the San Antonio Spurs, the New Orleans Pelicans, the Memphis Grizzlies, the Sacramento Kings, the Portland Trail Blazers, and the Utah Jazz, some of them have made the proper changes to compete and climb up the standings but only time will tell just how much of a difference they will make in the very competitive Western Conference.

It’s open season again in the Eastern Conference as injuries to key players have disrupted the balance of power and now opening up the door for the forgotten to move back up into contention.

The Cleveland Cavaliers fell short in the Playoffs last year but held a chocke hold on the Eastern Conference for most of the year and now plan on learning from their past mistakes and reclaim their position by attempting to once again dominate their way back to the top.

Standing in their way are the New York Knicks. With new head Coach Mike Brown now leading the pack, a new style of play should open up the floor and create new advantages that would benefit this nucleus better. If Coach Brown can crack this team, they can definitely hold down that No 1 Spot and do some serious damage throughout the season.

The Orlando Magic is prime for the come up and considering the injuries to key teams, their chances of upsetting the favourites are quite high. They have the youth and the talent to compete with the best of them on both sides of the floor. This team has something to prove therefore sleeping on this squad will cost you in the long run.

The Milwaukee Bucks are still amongst the top dogs due to Giannis Antetokounmpo still playing at a high level but with the departure of Damian Lillard, holding on to a competitive standing will be challenging.

The Indiana Pacers and the Boston Celtics should have been in the conversation but with Tyrese Haliburton and Jayson Tatum out for most of the season, and Philadelphia 76ers’ Joel Embiid coming back from injuries,  the door is wide open for the remaining Eastern Conference teams the Atlanta Hawks,  the Detroit Pistons, the Toronto Raptors, the Miami Heat, the Chicago Bulls, the Brooklyn Nets, the Charlotte Hornets and the Washington Wizards to take advantage and climb up the rankings and show the league what they are  really made of. This Conference is vulnerable right now but things could change as the NBA Season evolves.  

The league and the players are drastically changing so tune in on opening night Tuesday October 21, 2025, and be part of another intriguing NBA Season 2025/2026.

On the Watch “It’s All About Jaron Ennis vs Uisma Lima”

Junior Middleweight Showdown

Last night’s Matchroom/DAZN Main Event between former Unified Welterweight .Champion Jaron “Boots” Ennis (35-0, 31 Kos) and Uisma Lima (14-2, 10 Kos), was a statement event where “Boots” announced himself in an aggressive fashion to the 154-Pound Division at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Real Talk!

Jaron was looking to impress his hometown crowd and that he did at just about 1:58 of the first round by dropping Uisma three times and knocking him out with a barrage of unanswered punches coming in from all angles, quickly prompting the referee to stop the bout and saving Uisma from further damage.

Uisma was caught cold from the jump and didn’t have enough time to recover as Jaron went in for the kill and shut down the show before sending everyone on attendance home happy with the outcome. No need for the Judges on this night.

With this impressive win now under his belt, Jaron picked up the Interim Junior Middleweight Belt positioning himself in line to challenge the full Champion Abass Baraou (17-1, 9 Kos).

That being said, Jaron has made it be known that he’s looking to take over the 154-Pound Division and is looking at all the champions or top contenders – anyone of them can get it.

On The Watch ”It’s All About Alexis Barriere vs Guido Vianello”

Heavyweight Showdown

In last night’s Matchroom/DAZN Co-Feature Main Event at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, our own Canadian prospect Alexis Barriere (12-1, 10 Kos) was dealt a minor setback at the hands of Guido “The Gladiator” Vianello (14-3, 12 Kos).

No one anticipated ever seeing this outcome but truth be told, Guido was never going to be an easy out for anybody in the Heavyweight Division on any given night. Coming off a tough 10 round loss to Heavyweight prospect Richard Torrez Jr., Guido desperately needed a win to keep himself going in the Heavyweight conversations.

Giving what was at stake, Guido proceeded to dish out his best work by dismantling Alexis from head to body inside that squared circle. Alexis looked outgunned and unprepared for the pressure and the heavy shots that were coming his way.

Usually, Alexis is the hunter inside the squared circle but on this night, he was the hunted being outboxed and outhustled from every angle. Guido’s speed and power played a major factor as he was able to drop Alexis in the fourth round and stop Alexis in the fifth round after the referee waved it over preventing any further onslaught. This was a tough loss for Alexis and a teaching lesson that he will bounce back from but this was definitely a great win for Guido.

On The Watch ”It’s All About Dave Allen vs Arslanbek Makhmudov”

Heavyweight Showdown

Last night’s Matchroom/DAZN Main Event between Dave “White Rhino” Allen (24-8-2, 19 Kos) and our own Canadian/Russian representative Arslanbek Makhmudov (21-2, 19 Kos), was an entertaining bout that had the 9,000 fans in attendance on the edge of their seats at the Sheffield Arena in Sheffield, England.

Dave, fresh off stopping the young and upcoming Heavyweight Johnny Fisher in his last bout, was feeling like the stars were aligning themselves in his favour and proceeded to tackle another hefty challenge in the form Arslanbek Makhmudov and chopping down the big “Lion” that most would opt to avoid on their road to redemption.

The “White Rhino” went into this bout with the utmost confidence but was met with a force that refused to succumb and in return Arslanbek gave Dave a good beating throughout the duration of the bout.

Dave showed us once again that his chin is a hell of a tough one to take down but that steady heavy jab that Arslanbek was dishing out round by round was quite affective and consistent at preventing Dave from getting to him.  At times things got ugly inside that squared circle as Arslanbek did a lot of holding and eventually lost a few points because of it.

Dave had a few sporadic moments throughout the bout but was not active enough with his hands when the opportunity presented itself. Although Arslanbek looked tired in the later rounds his work rate over all could not go unnoticed.

After 12 full rounds of action, the Judges at hand scored it 117-109, 116-110 and 115-111 unanimously for Arslanbek Makhmudov.

There are levels to this boxing sh*t and last night our own Canadian/Russian representative Arslanbek Makhmudov showed just that by beating a tough and durable warrior in Dave Allen.

Middleweight Showdown

The highly anticipated domestic grudge rematch between IBO Middleweight Champion Chris Eubanks Jr. (35-3, 25 Kos) and Conor Benn (23-1, 14 Kos) has finally officially been announced that they will be bumping gloves once again on Saturday November 15, 2025, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England, live on DAZN PPV.

It’s clear that Conor has unfinished business with Chris and is desperately looking for that get back by any means necessary. Conor put up a hell of a fight the first time out, but truth be told Conor is not a Middleweight at heart but will be going back to the weight to prove a solid point to Chris that he can beat him at his own game.

That being said, Conor can’t overlook Chris the same way he did the first time. Chris is no walk in the park and can definitely fight blow for blow when push comes to shove. Chris prevailed the first time and strongly feels he can do it again.

The animosity these two have for one another is what will set the stage on fire when these two warriors enter that squared circle come fight night. Their first dust up was a banger of a bout, but I anticipate this second go around will eclipse it and bring the house down and the fans to their feet witnessing this action-packed night of a shootout on Saturday night November 15, 2025, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England.

On The Watch ”It’s All About Christian Mbilli vs Lester Martinez”

Super Middleweight Showdown

Last night our own Canadian representative, undefeated Christian Mbilli (30-0-1, 24 Kos) put his WBC Interim Super Middleweight Title on the line when he took on heavy-handed, undefeated challenger Lester Martinez (19-0-1, 16 Kos) on the undercard of the Canelo vs Crawford at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Them two combatants did not disappoint and definitely brought the “Heat” at the sound of the first bell when they touched gloves inside that squared circle. Both warriors knew what was at stake and proceeded to bang toe-to-toe with neither combatant giving up any breathing room while thrusting heavy leather at one another phone booth style from head to body.

I personally think that Martinez expected Mbilli to be easy work considering most of his opponents folded whenever they felt his power but he soon found out that Mbilli was not one to be taken lightly as his high-octane offense and his resiliency was a serious problem round by round.

Martinez had no choice but to match Mbilli’s energy making that bout that much all the more intriguing and competitive as the rounds progressed.  It was a tough back and forth that clearly entertained the fans in attendance.

Both combatants had their moments with neither showing signs of backing down at any point. That being said, after 10 hard rounds of action the Judges at hand scored it a draw, unable to pinpoint a clear winner on the night.

With this outcome, Christian Mbilli retained his WBC Interim Super Middleweight Title and still maintained his undefeated record while Lester Martinez proved his case at being a serious problem to content with in the 168-Pound Division.
