On The Watch “It’s All About Caleb Plant vs Jose Armando Resendiz”

Interim WBA Super Middleweight Challenge

Last night’s PBC/Amazon Prime Main Event between Interim WBA Super Middleweight Champion Caleb Plant (23-3, 14 kos) and challenger Jose Armando Resendiz (16-2, 11 Kos) at Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, tuned out to be another cherry pick gone wrong.

This bout was meant to be a stay busy fight with no real threat ahead for Plant but what occurred was quite surprising when the underdog Resendiz came in with the right “game plan” and asserted himself quite well and stunned the opposition.

I don’t think Plant anticipated this type of battle from the younger warrior but what he ran into was a hungry and determined combatant who brought that “HEAT” to every minute of every round. Plant showed Resendiz no respect and paid the price for it as he was in a real war of attrition last night.

Plant showed some resistance in the early rounds but seemed to lose steam and confidence as Resendiz was starting to build momentum with his offensive work rate round by round. Plant was physically the bigger combatant but the bigger puncher would have to go to Resendiz who was visibly landing the more thumping and telling punches.

After 12 hard rounds of action one Judge scored it 115-113 for Plant (suspect), while the other two Judges scored it 116-112 for Resendiz, giving him the split decision victory.

No one but Resendiz and his team anticipated this type of outcome, and for that I tip my “B” hat to him for silencing naysayers who counted them out and seizing the opportunity bestowed on him to now becoming the new Interim WBA Super Middleweight Champion of the World.

Congratulations Jose Armando Resendiz. Well done!

On The Watch “It’s All About The NBA FINALS 2025”

The NBA Finals 2025

With the completion of the NBA’s version of the Final 4 now officially over, the two remaining teams representing their respective coasts are the No. 1 Seeded Oklahoma City Thunder for the WESTSIDE and the No. 4 Seeded Indiana Pacers for the EASTSIDE. Real Talk!

Oklahoma City stayed true to their character and their No. 1 Seed by being focussed and dominant throughout the entire season and their Playoff run from start to finish and to now gracing the NBA Finals.

Unlike Indiana, with their work-like approach with efficient results, they were counted out against the Bucks, the Cavs and the Knicks but still managed to upset the oddsmakers in a very convincing fashion worthy of securing their well-earned spot into the NBA Finals.

Indiana is coming in as the returning Eastern Conference finalist after falling short last year but this time around they will probably have their toughest test ahead in the best team in the NBA the Oklahoma City Thunder with the regular season MVP Shai Gilgeous Alexander to contend with in order to get to the promised land.

Oklahoma City’s numbers speak for themselves. They have been the most dominant team night in and night out. That being said, this red-hot Indiana Pacers team will be looking to continue to upset the oddsmakers one final time and derail the likely favourite, Oklahoma City Thunder.

Both squads have some serious momentum pushing them forward to succeed but which squad will have the right “game plan” to capitalized on it in to their advantage.

Squad vs Squad, this is a very interesting matchup where the stakes are high but there can only be one Champion crowned when it’s all said and done so tune in this Thursday night June 5, 2025, live on ABC for Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

On The Watch “It’s All About 2025 NBA EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS”

2025 NBA Eastern Conference Finals

In a surprising turn of events, The No. 1 Seeded Cleveland Cavaliers and the No. 2 Seeded Boston Celtics have both been bounced out by the Indiana Pacers who systematically broke down the Cavs in 5 games. The New York Knicks did the same to the Defending Champions Celtics but needed 6 games to earn their long awaited spot into the Eastern Conference Finals.

Not too many people in the game predicted this type of Eastern Conference Finals where the No. 3 Seeded Knicks and the No. 4 Seeded Pacers would be the two remaining teams to do battle to reach this year 2025 NBA Finals. Real Talk!

That said, these two squads have an ongoing personal rivalry, considering they met last year in the Eastern Conference Semifinals where the Knicks got sprung by the Pacers in a very competitive game 7 that had been haunting them till this day.

The Knicks will be eyeing the Pacers for some redemption this time around. With both squads looking healthy, strong, motivated and riding high from two very convincing series each. These Knicks/Pacers are guaranteeing a very intriguing matchup that will surely captivate the fans to tune in this Wednesday May 21, 2025, for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals and witness an entertaining night of action.

On The Watch “It’s All About 2025 NBA WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALS”

2025 NBA Western Conference Finals

In a very competitive Western Conference game 7, the No. 1 Seeded Oklahoma City Thunder completely annihilated the No. 4 Seeded Denver Nuggets, ushering them right into the Western Conference Finals to take on a young, rested and motivated No. 6 Seeded Minnesota Timberwolves fresh off dismantling the Golden State Warriors in 5 games.

This series will have two very young teams battling it out to have the right to that golden ticket booked to the NBA Finals. Oklahoma ruled the league in an impressive fashion throughout the season this year and continued to show improve game after game in the Playoffs. Standing in their way is another young squad in Minnesota proving to be the real deal by knocking the favourites off the board one by one. The league is changing and these two teams are the future ready to “TAKEOVER” on the biggest stage.

The spotlight will be on the two upcoming stars in the league today: possible MVP favourite Gilgeous-Alexander for OKC and Anthony Edwards for the Wolves. That being said, I personally think it will come down to whose supportive cast will be able to help their superstar get over that threshold and claim the right of passage. Real Talk!

So tune in and watch these youngins turn this intriguing matchup into must see TV on Tuesday night May 20, 2025, for Game 1 and witness the theatre unfold.
